A sturdy business now growing online

Remaining true to their vision of providing quality certification services for organic products since 1979, ICS has revamped their online presence, with the assistance of the SBDC, further ensuring their quality services.
Located in Medina, North Dakota, the employee owned ICS has been providing their services to organic growers as well as handlers and processors of organic products since their beginning. Accredited through the USDA in addition to four international accreditations, ICS services over 151,000 acres of land, 6,000 head of organic livestock and 90 processors and handlers in the United States. Furthermore, they do business and have partnerships in fifteen countries.
After coming to the SBDC, ICS was partnered with Linda Deutscher their webmaster, who owns and operates The Broken Arrow, a website development company in Medina, to recondition their website. Linda incorporated several new photos and redesigned the entire look of the site. Since bringing the new website online they have received almost 6,000 hits! ICS says that it has also proved helpful with lowering costs, improving their services and even has increased sales. It is no wonder that their customers continually rave about it. You can see the finished product at www.ics-intl.com.
"The assistance provided by the SBDC was great and they really want to help," says marketing representative Brent Schulz. His advice to other entrepreneurs is "Let the SBDC help you get your business started or bring your existing business to the next level."
